What I have learnt from research

From the blogposts on my 3 different genre research post I have learnt that each film has a very defined opening which helps to lead the audience into the film. Each opening has a distinct character which sets the atmosphere for the film which is to follow.

During the opening of most films a major 'moment' happens in the movie which is what the viewers use to determine wether they will enjoy the film or not. The ida of opening is to make them as exciting and interesting as possible so that the viewers will want to continue watching the film. If the opening isn't portrayed as being exciting or interesting then viewers may loose interest and not want to watch the film, which then gives the film bad reviews.

The main intentions of an opening is to get the viewers hooked and intrigued so that they watch the film. Despite wanting to make the opening as interesting as possible they creators have to be careful so as not to give too much of the plot away. Too much information can lead to loss of viewers and interest. This isn't good for the reputation of the company or the film.

Many factors need to be taken into consideration when making the opening to a film, some excitement and intrigue is good but too much can be fatal , which can cause major issues for companies, viewers, actors and directors. The making of an opening is very complex, but when done well, it can have great effects.
