This is my final film that I have up loaded onto YouTube. We decided to call the film Katie based on the main character. We spent a long time deciding on how to edit our film and what characters we should have in the film depending on the audience we are aiming to involve.
Todorov in 1969 produced a theory which he believed to be able to be applied to any film. He believed that all films followed the same narrative pattern. They all went through stages called the equilibrium, disequilibrium, acknowledgement, solving and again equilibrium.
There are five stages the narrative can progress through:
1. A state of equilibrium (All is as it should be.)
2. A disruption of that order by an event.
3. A recognition that the disorder has occurred.
4. An attempt to repair the damage of the disruption.
5. A return or restoration of a NEW equilibrium
This type of narrative structure is very familiar to us and can be applied to many mainstream film narratives such as 'Die Hard'
[Chloe sits down a the table and looks at her phone]
[Chloe gets up and walks out of the door and leaves her phone on the table]
[Harry follows on behind, takes Chloe's phone and switches the light off]
[Olivia enters the house and both girls embrace]
[After embracing both girls walk through the hallway into the living room]
[There is a low shot of the girls feet as they walk into the living room and a shot of Harry's feet following]
[Camera is hidden behind a metal sculpture watching the girls]
[The room goes dark and a loud bang is heard throughout the house]
[Both girls run to hide behind the sofa]
Olivia: What was that?!
Chloe: I need to go check...
Olivia: You can't!
Chloe: I've got to...
[Chloe leaves the room and we are left with the sound of Olivia breathing heavy]
[Chloe walks upstairs to investigate]
[Chloe walks towards the first door on the landing]
[Chloe turns and starts to walk away from the door]
[Harry appears out of the room and grabs Chloe over the mouth so as to stop her from screaming]
[A muffled scream comes from Chloe as she gets dragged backwards through the house]
[Olivia comes out of the living room and tries to switch the lights on]
Olivia: Katie? [Katie is Chloe's character name]
[A cutaway shots shows Chloe coming round the corner and appears to be possessed]
[Chloe looks up at the camera, and we can see that her eyes are black and her hair raggy and swept back]
[Harry stands next to her holding her hand]
[Olivia runs up the stairs to look for Chloe (Katie)]
Olivia: Katie?
[Harry grabs hold of Olivia from the corner in which he is standing]
[Olivia makes a shocked noise as she is pulled back by Harry]
Harry: She's everywhere
[The film then finishes and we see a picture of Katie up close to what she looks like now]
[Chloe gets up and walks out of the door and leaves her phone on the table]

As the two girls resemble modern day 17 year olds their makeup will be very simple, no harsh colours and up to date with the current time. This consists of their own choice of makeup in which is light and bright. The two teenagers will also be in up to date styled clothing being jeans, tops and any form of jacket chosen on this day.
Costume:
Character 1 - Black Jeans, big Green Jumper, Plain socks
Character 2 - Black Jeans, Green multi-coloured jumper, white socks
Character 3 - (Possessor) All black, black jeans, black hoodie and black socks
Makeup:
Character 1 - natural coloured make up i.e. foundation and mascara
Character 2 - paler makeup made with a white face paint and mascara used to create an intense look on the eyes
Character 3 - no makeup needed as the face is not seen/shown throughout the film
(Character 2 - when the person is possessed the make up used is made with black eyeshadow and pale face paint make up to create a dark tired look)

The props and equipment that we used are appropriate for us to be able to complete our film and to have the best quality of film that we had in mind for our film. We borrowed the equipment from school and made good use of the equipment that was available to us.

- We will be using a Panasonic HDC-SD100 camcorder in our film. This will give the high quality that we want in our film.
- We will use a Velbon CX 888 Tripod in our filming to create stable and still moving shots when we want to produce them.
- A phone camera will be used when incorporating the light for the darker shots of filming as the quality is not as good and will be easy to use when one of the girl runs up the stairs.
- We also used a RODE Videomic to make sure that we focused on the sounds needed for our films atmosphere
- We will also be using a 4GB and an 8GB Sandisk Memory Card, which will help to store all of our shots and scenes for our film.
- Phone - used to receive a text at the beginning of film
For my final film I had to think of a good group of actors for my film. I took care when deciding who to choose for my film so that the theme of Horror/Thriller runs through the film and reflects off of each individual person and their characters roll in the film. Each person has a defined feature which I will highlight in my film.

For my final film I wanted to choose a well situated house in a small village with little inhabitants, surrounded with fields and forest. This is to help create the scene of Horror/Thriller. The pictures below help to create an idea of where the scenes will take place and in what kind of lighting and atmosphere. I want to stay as close to the conventions of a Horror/Thriller film so as to portray the same atmospheres and ideologies of a Thriller/Horror film. I want the scenes to be as suspenseful and full of exciting scenes that keep the viewers on their toes.
